Area possibilities

● Pharmaceutical industry; training on drug production, raw material management, environmental health in pharmaceutical industries, quality assurance, quality control, marketing complaints and how to manage them, as well as packaging of finished products. Also each student will be taught the air handling system of Pharma industries. ● Community pharmacy; Drug managements, inventory, stock safety, alcohol dilutions, dispensing, para pharmacy, patient counseling. ● Drug wholesalers; sales promotion, packaging and receiving drugs, inventory

Length of training periods

● Pharmaceutical industry;1-2months. ● community pharmacy; 2-3weeks. ● Drug supply company;2-3weeks.

Available months and cities

Douala and Yaoundé are the available Cities for placements in industry, community pharmacy and drug wholesale companies. Completion of internship is required for each student to be approved a certificate.

April -September are available months for Summer SEP

Type accommodation

-Exchange students would be provided either a student residence (this is free), - A hostel or guesthouse which will be paid by the student at a range of 50-100,000frs CFA per month.

Board, pocket money or other financial benefits/remuneration

● Exchange students are expected to pay their own transportation fares,feeding and other expenses they might enquire during their stay in Cameroon. ● Exchange students are informed not to expect a salary or compensation from their internship placements.

Language requirements

English and Basic French for easy communication is required.

Other requirements

Each student should be at least in their 2nd year of pharmacy studies

Information on Work Permits and Visa

● Exchange students are required to have a visa which they will obtain online. students should visit the Cameroon embassy closest to them for more information. ● Online visa application processing takes a maximum of 3 working days. ● Visa fees are payable exclusively online in, during pre-enrollment process through the link:https://evisacam.cm. Visa fees are non refundable. Payment is done through Mastercard,debit card, mobile money or orange money. ● Countries that do not require visa to Cameroon are: Chad, Nigeria, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, and Central African Republic. ● Documents needed are: internship placement certificate signed by a competent authority for interns, valid passport, other documents maybe requested by consular officials, thus students should visit the nearest Cameroon embassy.

Selection Procedures

● Deadline to apply is April 20th 2024. ● Choice of ES will be selected by SEO or host company ● Additional documents needed are proof of schooling, and Identification Card.
