We offer clinical and hospital internships at the State-of-the-art Shaukat Khanum Memorial cancer hospital and research centre. You can apply throughout the year.

Type accommodation

Arrangements for the accommodation will be made either in student hostels or shared flats at a reasonable location near the place of internship. The students will have to pay for it themselves and the rate will be economical.

Board, pocket money or other financial benefits/remuneration

PPHSF does not provide any financial benefits or spending money currently, however, if there is any placement for a paid internship then remuneration may be given by the employer. Most student hostels have a mess offering 3 meals per day, the cost of which is included in the overall charges. Applicants interning at a university may be allowed to use the university bus. Similarly, some industries also provide transport to and from the plant. Otherwise, local transport such as buses and taxis can be used.

Language requirements

Applicants must be fluent in English. Ability to speak Urdu is an advantage.

Other requirements

Students from any semester can join, however, priority would be given to the 4th and 5th professional students.

Selection Procedures

Applications must be sent 2-1.5 months in advance. Selection will be determined by the SEO initially and final selection will be by the host on the basis of CV, personal statement and a letter of recommendation from a faculty member/President of the organization.
