Medicine Awareness and Patient Safety

Patient safety relies on correct medicine use and understanding. IPSF addresses this through campaigns and training that build awareness among students and the public. A recent example is the webinar Health for All: Promoting Medication Safety in Medication Use and Drug Abuse, held in observance of Mental Health Awareness Month, which focused on safe medication practices alongside responsible medicine use and drug abuse prevention. IPSF also advocates alongside the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) at international political meetings such as the World Health Assembly to support policies that strengthen pharmacists’ roles in patient safety.
