  9. Method of preparation

Weigh 30 g Calamine using balance (Class II or electronic balance)

Weigh 170 g Talc using balance (Class II or electronic balance)

Transfer the Calamine to a porcelain mortar

Add the Talc to the Calamine in the mortar about the same amount with Calamine and mix using a pestle

Add the Talc to the mixture in the mortar about the same amount with mixture and mix using a pestle

Repeat the step 5 until all the Talc has been used

Sieve through a 40 mesh, 5” sieve

Transfer the powder to a powder shaker container

Label and dispense to the patient
