Area possibilities
We will accept students in the Summer SEP 2023. (DL Feb 1st )
We have placement available in Laboratory/Hospital/Community Pharmacy. Our local student exchange officer will take you to visit some popular spots around the cities.

Length of training periods
Usually 2-8 weeks, most of all are for 4 weeks no matter which fields/cities students stay.
Available months and cities
For Winter SEP, January and February are available. As for Summer SEP, July and August are your best choice.
Our host sites cooperate with different universities, which are National Taiwan University(NTU), National Yang-Ming-Chiao-Tung University(NYCU), National Cheng-Kung University(NCKU), Taipei Medical University(TMU), China Medical University(CMU), Kaohsiung Medical University(KMU), National Defense Medical Center(NDMC), Tajen University(TJU) and Chia-Nan University of Pharmacy &Science(CNU), so students might not be placed in the capital (Taipei).

Type accommodation
Most of the pharmacy schools here will provide student dorms for incoming students, but some dorms should prepare their own mattresses. However, some dorms need to pay extra fees for accommodation, which depends on the school students stay in. Please verify with LEO before you come. Besides, you can also live outside the schools with your friends or family.
Board, pocket money or other financial benefits/remuneration
No pocket money will be provided, and accommodations will be student dorms or hostels. The cost depends on the city students stay, and generally, it’s less than NTD 7000 per month.
Extra expenditure depends on how long students stay and the schedule students plan, so students can reach advice from SEO or LEOs to know how much money they might spend during their internships.
Language requirements
English, good enough to communicate with the pharmacists and also students (Able to speak Mandarin is a plus!)
Other requirements
People who come to Taiwan need 14 days of quarantine and PCR negative test within 3 days before boarding. (The government might launch new policy after Chinese New Year, 14th of February 2022)
Information on Work Permits and Visa

The application process will be totally different depends on the countries that incoming students come from. Please check your visa to Taiwan before applying. If there's any visa problems, don't hesitate to consult SEO.
Selection Procedures
Students are chosen by both SEO and LEOs. Besides application forms(AFs), SEO will send all information about incoming students to LEOs, and they will choose the most suitable students according to the available exchange time and region. Because time and region are related to internship very well.
The deadline for applying for SEP in our association will be announced on IPSF SEP Page, PSA-Taiwan Facebook Page each year, but earlier is better. As we can arrange the host and accommodation earlier. Once a student matches our time and region, we will reserve him/her then.
Normally, Winter SEP will be selected after Oct., and Summer SEP will be selected after Feb.
