World Healthcare Students' Symposium 2019 (WHSS)

The 8th WHSS is coordinated by the Organizing Committee with 3 host organizations based in South Africa including South African Medical Students Association (SAMSA) and UCT Surgical Society Student Health and Welfare Centre's Organisation (SHAWCO). The theme of the 8th WHSS is “COLLISIONS IN HEALTH: Youth leading Health for All”. The symposium is expected to have around 1000 delegates from all over the world, with diverse healthcare profession backgrounds.

The World Healthcare Students' Symposium (WHSS) is a multidisciplinary, international gathering of students, featuring a variety of talks, workshops and events. With the mission of educating and inspiring future healthcare professionals to encourage the adoption of a multidisciplinary approach at a student level, the event promises to be an exciting opportunity to learn and tackle global health challenges and build international networks. Beginning with the 1st symposium in 2005 in Malta, the World Healthcare Students' Symposium took place every two years. The 7th WHSS was held in Rwanda in 2017, hosted by IPSF member Rwanda Pharmaceutical Students’ Association(RPSA).
