  • Community Pharmacy.

  • This programme is based in improving the pharmacy students skills in pharmaceutical care and dispensation through day to day community pharmacy service in two different pharmacy offices in Mendoza. You will be able to know about the different areas of the community pharmacy at the office and also interact with pharmacist and pharmaceutical technicians that will provide you knowledge through their experiences. The most reamkable thing is the contact with patients and to know the way that community pharmacy is managed in Argentina. Are you ready to experience it?

Academic activities: to develop new skills and to link with students and professionals at their work and social environment, as well as, depending on the date of exchange, visit to laboratories and facilities of the Juan Agustín Maza University, where AEFRA Mendoza has its headquarters. This activitites might be coordinated by LEO and with the Members of AEFRA Mendoza upon arrival.

Type accommodation

Private room with breakfast within walking distance of the pharmacy. It has an approximate cost of 250 U $ D per month

No pocket money will be provided.

Language requirements

Spanish is the official language here, so you should have a proficiency on Spanish, as an Advanced Level or having Spanish as a Native language.

Medical Advises: Medical care in Argentina is good throughout the country, however, most medical services require advance payments. It is advisable to take out travel insurance that covers medical expenses abroad, including medical transportation. Make sure your insurance covers all the time you stay outside your country.

Recommended Vaccines to come to Argentina; - Mandatory: Yellow Fever Vaccine is, only in case of visiting wooded areas in the north and northeast of Argentina, borders with Brazil and Paraguay at altitudes below 2300 m.a.s.l. (including Iguazu Falls) - Highly recommended: Seasonal Influenza Vaccines (check that it is current, annual application) for the southern hemisphere the winter season is from April to October and the one for measles (2 doses applied after 13 months of age). - Recommended: Hepatitis A and B vaccines, tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough, Varicella (if you not had it yet) and enteric fever.
