WORLD AIDS DAY 2011 by Juliana Christina, IPSF HIV/AIDS Coordinator 2011/2012

Hi IPSF Friends,

November 14, 2011 marked the first IPSF public health campaign of 2011/2012 year: World's Diabetes Day and Healthy Living campaign. Johanna has done a wonderful job to increase awareness for this day!
We also would like to welcome the second campaign of the year: the 23rd World AIDS Day! on December 1, 2011

First, I would like to introduce myself: I am Juliane Christina, a pharmacy student at the University of Arizona, US. For this year HIV/AIDS Campaign, we would like to invite you to participate in multiple ways : as an individual, as a group, and/or as an organization.

*As an Individual: "See Red Day" - remember to wear RED outfit on December 1st, 2011 - and invite others to do so!! (If you have any kind of HIV/AIDS awareness t-shirt, make sure to wear it!)

*As a group: "The Human Red Ribbon Project" - This year is a continuation of last year project. For more information on how to participate in this project (it's really simple!), visit: http://aids.ipsf.org/?page_id=192

*As a group or an organization: We hope that you organize an event or activity to increase awareness for this World AIDS day. It is not too late!!!
The IPSF HIV/AIDS coordinator, public health, and publication have worked together to present this year HIV/AIDS campaign kit to help you with your campaign.

HIV/AIDS campaign kit will include:

If you would like to get a copy of the kit, please send a request to hivaids@ipsf.org

Also, we would like to feature the story of your HIV/AIDS awareness event at the website, so make sure to fill out the IPSF Activity Report form and take pictures of the event!! :)

The IPSF HIV/AIDS website has been updated with information on HIV/AIDS, stories of campaign from last year, this year projects, samples of campaign kit, and much more..! Visit http://aids.ipsf.org often!
