The 7th Annual Pan-American Regional Symposium (PARS), Postponed to September 2008

It’s Juan Carlos Sánchez, the current chairperson of PARS 2008 organized in Mexico this year. As some have known, we have some problems with PARS organization owed to inopportune administration changes in Executive Committee of our University. This situation has been directly treated with the principal and, because some other events have been changed too and University administration has still the procedures for PARS organization, we can’t dispose of this money to develop the event. The reasons that expose are a better administration of money into University since they propose the junction of two events of our Faculty: PARS and a congress about “pharmacist’s profile in the world” that will be developed in September of this year, furthermore, we would obtain a better sponsorship from them.
Despite this problem, in accordance with Treasurer and Reception Committee, we don’t have any delegate registered until moment. We just received by e-mail some question about PARS logistic from USA whose were answered as soon as possible. We don’t know what happen with the information distribution of PARS to have this situation of poor participation. In fact, in order to establish headquarter for PARS again; we will not have the time and the money necessary to newly organize an event of this magnitude. It’s too late and adventured develop one PARS with a lot of deficiencies. Mexico is trying to develop a good event for its invited people and we don’t have the support to make it. We send our apologies for everything but we need change the event in September and have a symposium with better audience and quality.
