World Healthcare Students Symposium 2009
Could your organisation be a host for a healthcare students’ event in 2009?
In an exciting collaboration, different health care student organisations will be coming together in November 2009 to hold the 3rd joint event between international medical, nursing, pharmaceutical and other healthcare students.
World Healthcare Students Symposium is a four day event that will be jointly organised by IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations), EMSA (European Medical Students’ Association), IPSF (International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation), EPSA (European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association), INSA (International Nursing Students’ Association), ENSA (European Nursing Students’ Association) and other healthcare students’ associations.
We are looking for national medical, nursing and pharmaceutical student organisations to JOINTLY host the event. This means that you will need to apply together with a committee made up of students from different student health care organisations. A Joint Working Group from different health care students will determine the programme, speakers and so on.
The event will be held during 4 days in November 2009 (2nd or 3rd week of November) and will cater for up to 350 healthcare students.
Should you be interested in organising the event, please contact the Joint Working Group at jwg@whss2007.org. The deadline for host applications will be the 28th of February 2008.
All applications are to include the following:
• Proposed Budget
• Proposed Program (Social program etc.)
• Description (accommodation, venue, location, etc)
• Description of Reception Committee members which is to consist of at least 10 healthcare students, equally divided by 2 different studies or divided by 3 different studies.
• CV of Chair and Vice-Chair of the Reception Committee
• Motivation letter and history of hosting organisations
• Letters of Recommendation (Deans, Professors etc)
