Publications

How does someone get involved in the IPSF Publications section? Good
 question!

The answer, however, is very easy!  But first allow me to give a short introduction to the work that goes on within the Publications Section of
IPSF.

IPSF produces and distributes many publications throughout the year, as it is very important for us to be in constant contact with our members and all pharmacy students world wide. Our goal is to disseminate as much information as possible about our members to others, in order to motivate others to become actively involved in their education and profession!

The following are examples of the types of publications we produce:

News Bulletin (NB):

The IPSF NB is published twice a year, in November and May.  The NB contains the latest IPSF news and activities from the Executive, Regional Offices and Sub-Committees, as well reports, photos, and announcements from our Members.

The NB usually consists of 29 coloured pages chock full information! Contact Persons, Individual Members and Honorary Life Members all receive copies to share with their Members and associates.

Website

The IPSF website, www.ipsf.org, contains all of the information concerning IPSF sections, members, the latest news, our regions, allied organizations and upcoming events.

IPSF Posters, Leaflets and Booklets.

IPSF puts forth many promotional materials throughout the year to increase awareness of important dates and campaigns, such as World AIDS Day, World No Tobacco Day, Pharmacy Professional Awareness projects, and activities of the like.

We also produce many annual information handbooks in order that our Contact Persons, Non-Members, and Membership Promotion Committee have a solid base of knowledge with which to participate and work within IPSF.

So how can you get involved in the IPSF Publication Section?

Editorial Board(EB)

This group is responsible for the production and polish of the News Bulletin.

They collect, edit, and translate articles for the News and Views Section into the four IPSF official languages (Arabic, English, French and Spanish), and they subsequently edit the final version of the NB before its printing.

If you are interested in making a contribution on the Editorial Board, Please contact the Chairperson of Publications.

You can also contribute to IPSF Publications by sending in articles to the NB! The articles can be relating to all aspects of the world of pharmacy. The article must be between 200-600 words, and must be submitted before the deadline (please see the IPSF Website for information on the deadline for submission of News Bulletin articles.)

If you would like to submit an article to be published in the News Bulletin, Please contact the Chairperson of Publications.
